Focus on... The Information Difference

The Information Difference is based in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands and focuses on Master Data Management (MDM), including Data Quality and Data Governance. The company was established by two people who have much strategic and practical experience in the MDM area, Andy Hayler and Dave Waddington.

Amongst other things, the company provides profiles that evaluate a vendor in terms of its MDM offerings, specifically evaluating the level of governance support, business rules, data rules, data provision, master data storage and data movement, and synchronisation. The profile also highlights a vendor's competitive arena, partner programme and deployments, etc (click here for published profiles).

The Information Difference operates in a niche market. Whilst other analyst companies cover MDM to some extent, the breadth and depth of the intelligence provided by the company is significant. And all written from the viewpoint of people who have actively been involved in the implementation of global MDM projects. This is a valuable perspective to have.
